It sounds like science fiction, but the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy today announced the 2nd phase of NASA's 3D-Printed Habitat Challenge -- a $1.1M prize competition challenging citizen inventors to demonstrate manufacturing capabilities needed to 3D print structural elements on the Moon and Mars.

Brick & Mortar Ventures is honored and excited to help host the challenge in partnership with NASA, Bradley University, Bechtel, and Caterpillar.

Registration for the Phase 2 competition is now open. Team will have until Jan 31, 2017 to sign up, and the final competition and team demonstrations will occur in August 2017 in Peoria, IL at Caterpillar's headquarters.
